WELCOME BACK PARTY REVIEW
To say that our Welcome Back party was a huge success would be an understatement. Mother Nature cooperated by
clearing the skies an hour before the official four o'clock start time, enhancing enjoyment of the beautiful bayside
Charles Ringling mansion by 113 alumni and guests.
Entertainment was provided by our own Sarasota Opera with Youna Jang's Madama Butterfly and Heath Huberg's
Lieutenant Pinkerton accompanied on the piano by Maestro Michael Sakir. They received an enthusiastic standing ovation
from the audience, many of whom had attended the excellent sold-out opening night performance Friday evening.
What a treasure we have with one of the top-rated regional opera companies in North America.
We have worked hard to provide an outstanding lineup of luncheon speakers and special events this season, and we
